The first Kim Dong Literature Award has officially ended with many impressive achievements: 612 works participating in the genres of poetry, short stories, novels... from all over the country and from Australia, Germany, France, and Sweden.
The authors' ages range from 9 years old (born in 2016) to 93 years old (born in 1932), showing the special appeal of children's literature to many generations of writers.

Within the framework of the contest, Kim Dong Publishing House also coordinated with literary and artistic associations to organize many activities to meet and exchange with authors, between authors and readers across the country. During that process, these works quickly entered the literary life and were welcomed by students.
In addition, seminars, creative exchanges, and dialogues with students in Hanoi, Hai Duong , Da Nang, Quang Nam, Gia Lai, Ban Me Thuot, Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, etc. have inspired writers and contributed to spreading the value of Vietnamese children's literature.

From over 600 works, the first Kim Dong Literature Award has found the 11 best works. This time, the final jury includes writers and poets Tran Duc Tien, Nguyen Nhat Anh, Ly Lan, Nguyen Thuy Anh. All have a high consensus in choosing the works worthy of the award.
Writer Tran Duc Tien, Chairman of the Final Jury, said: "The main goal of any contest or creative movement is to have excellent works and discover talented authors. Good writing, talented people, and young people are even more commendable. They are the future of literature in general, and children's literature in particular. Many excellent works that won high prizes in this movement belong to young people. We think that is the most significant success of the first Kim Dong Literature Award."

In the end, the first prize worth 100 million VND went to Giai Du with the long story What to do when the wind blows . The young author said this was a big surprise because since submitting his entry, he has not been contacted by the publishing house to let him know whether his work passed the preliminary round or not, so winning the highest prize was unpredictable.
Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers and Mr. Nguyen Nguyen - Director of the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution awarded the first prize to Giai Du.

Two second prizes (worth 60 million VND each) were awarded to the novella Story of the Village of Menh Mong by author Nguyen Thi Nhu Hien and The Man with the Pink Truck by author Giap Thi Thuy Duong.

The three third prizes (worth 30 million VND each) were for the long stories Xa ngoai kia canh dong (Far Out There Field ) (Cao Nguyet Nguyen), Rung Cay Tung (Pham Thu Ha) and the poetry collection The Upside Down World (Nguyen Quynh Mai).

5 fourth prizes (worth 10 million VND each) went to 5 long stories: The witch went to buy scrap metal (Phat Duong), Our village has a hero (Nguyen Quang Lap), The lion in the devil's castle (Quyen Gavoye), The ancient book of a goddess (Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy), Today there is a god (Lac An).

Also within the framework of the award ceremony, Kim Dong Publishing House continued to launch the 2025 - 2027 Creative Campaign and the second Kim Dong Literature Award with an expanded audience, including children, teenagers and young adults with two award systems: Kim Dong Literature Award for outstanding works written for children and Kim Dong Literature Award for outstanding works written for young people .
