In a warm and friendly atmosphere, delegates together reviewed the history and significance of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to revolutionary journalism. Veteran journalists were moved to share stories about their careers, ideals and spirit of service through their pens.

Reporting at the program, journalist Ngo Quynh Lan, Head of the Resistance Tradition Club of Senior Journalists, said that the unit currently has 150 members. Senior journalists always actively participate in movements, effectively organize many propaganda and educational activities to improve political capacity, and at the same time contribute to building a strong local government.


The club also focuses on social work with many practical activities such as: visiting members, supporting 150 million VND to help flood victims... Along with that, it is preparing content, publishing the memoir "A Time of Journalism"; promoting exchange activities, connecting with the younger generation to inspire passion, spread professional spirit.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Nguyen Tan Phong wished the elderly journalists good health, longevity, and continued contributions to the common development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Journalist Nguyen Tan Phong affirmed that the Senior Journalists Group of the Ho Chi Minh City Resistance Tradition Club is a golden generation that has not been afraid of hardships, spared no effort, money, material and sometimes even their blood for the independence and freedom of the country. Today, despite their advanced age, they continue to contribute, enthusiastically learn, update their knowledge, improve their professional qualifications and political courage to set an example and be a valuable asset for the next generation.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association also expressed his excitement in the context that the city and the whole country are making efforts to change and rise up with the spirit of great national unity. All sectors and all sectors are striving, being dynamic, and quickly adapting to the situation and tasks of the new era.
“The press industry in particular is facing significant challenges mixed with promising opportunities for development. Under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam Revolutionary Press is actively transforming itself strongly, innovating, and applying new technology on the basis of digital transformation to the professional work of press activities to successfully build a professional, humane, and modern press,” journalist Nguyen Tan Phong shared.

Journalist Nguyen Tan Phong commented that many works in the memoir "A Time as a Journalist" are of high quality, inspiring and motivating generations of journalists. Through that, they can master the skills to handle difficult situations while practicing and performing public duties, or how to effectively fight to protect the Party's ideological foundation...
