(Dan Tri) - After finding his lost wallet, Mr. Boi asked to give the money that people donated to support him to people in more difficult circumstances.

On January 16, Mr. Pham Van Boi (49 years old), in Ba To district, Quang Ngai province, found more than 14 million VND that he lost 3 days ago.

Mr. Boi expressed his gratitude to the kind-hearted people who have helped him in the past and decided to use the 12 million VND that people donated to him to support those in difficult circumstances during Tet.

"I found the money. This is the money I earned from sweat and hard work picking coffee for a whole month, so I'm very happy. I'm healthy and I found my wallet, so I can't accept support money from everyone. I'd like to give this money to lonely elderly people and orphans to celebrate Tet," Mr. Boi shared.

Previously, on January 14, Mr. Boi returned home from Lam Dong province to Ba To district, Quang Ngai province. On the way back, he stopped at Ba To market to buy household items and discovered that he had dropped his wallet containing all the money he and his wife earned from picking coffee. He panicked and returned to the market to look for it.

Ms. Le Thi My Trang, a vendor at Ba To market, said the image of Mr. Boi with his haggard appearance wandering around the market looking for his wallet moved many people.

Out of compassion, Ms. Trang posted information on social media to find Mr. Boi's wallet. The information quickly spread and many people expressed their sympathy for him.

"He wandered around the market all day looking for his wallet. Seeing how miserable he was, everyone felt sorry for him. So everyone called for donations of nearly 12 million VND to support him," said Ms. Trang.

After 2 days, a resident of Ba To district found Mr. Boi's wallet and contacted him to return it. He happily received the money he had lost.

Even though she had found her wallet, Ms. Trang still wanted to give him the money that everyone had donated. However, Mr. Boi thanked her and expressed his wish to give the money to those in more difficult circumstances.

Ms. My Trang shared that after finding the wallet, Mr. Boi went to thank those who helped him. At that time, Ms. Trang said that she had raised a "very large amount of money" to support him. Hearing that, Mr. Boi said that no matter how much money he had, he would not accept it and would give it to someone else.

"He said he was still healthy and had found the money he lost, so he could not accept support from the people. He asked me to use this money to help lonely elderly people and orphans celebrate Tet. I was really surprised by his kindness," Trang added.
