Mr. NBC (residing in Xuan Mai, Hanoi ) said he was very disappointed when he saw the clip of his daughter's offensive behavior when the A80 convoy (carrying soldiers participating in the parade on the occasion of National Day, September 2) passed by.
Mr. C. said his daughter had just enrolled at Lam Nghiep High School for 2 days. The incident happened when she was on her way home from school, riding a motorbike with two other classmates, but neither of them were wearing helmets.
After the clip was shared on social media, Mr. C. asked, and his son explained that he and his friends had raised their fingers in a rude way to tease the soldiers sitting in the car and pointing at passersby.
“Sadly, that morning, my son and I were also excitedly standing in front of the house waving at the A80 convoy passing by with a very proud and sacred feeling. However, my daughter acted in a teasing manner, right at a sensitive time for the country,” said Mr. C.

Immediately after the incident, last night (August 16), Mr. C’s family went to the police station to make a report and accept administrative sanctions. In addition, this morning, the family also went to the school to work with the principal of Lam Nghiep High School.
“ At the meeting, the school thoroughly understood the ideology, warned, and decided on the level of punishment for the children’s violations. The children also cried a lot, made commitments, apologized for not foreseeing the consequences, admitted that it was an impulsive action and hoped that the school and society would give them a chance to correct their mistakes,” Mr. C. shared.
As a father, Mr. C. said he does not side with his son because he has to suffer the consequences if he does wrong. “I hope there will be deterrence and discipline. However, I also hope the school will create conditions for the children to go to school. In case the children do not change and have some actions that affect the school, the teachers can expel them. During this period, the family will accompany the school to deter and educate the children,” Mr. C. said.
According to this parent, since the incident, his daughter has been locking herself in the house, not daring to go out. On social media, netizens commented and used harsh words to criticize her, making her regret even more. Currently, Mr. C. is temporarily keeping her phone so that her daughter has time to rethink her actions.
On behalf of Lam Nghiep High School, Mr. Le Khanh Toan, the school's principal, said that the students realized their actions were wrong and repented for not foreseeing the consequences at such an important historical moment for the nation.
“The students want a chance to make amends and pledge not to repeat the offense,” said the school principal.
Mr. Toan informed that the Board of Directors of Lam Nghiep High School will establish a disciplinary council to evaluate the students' violations and have appropriate handling directions, "both ensuring deterrence and education, and doing ideological work for students".
Previously, a clip was circulated on social media showing three students riding a motorbike, without helmets, wearing military uniforms, and behaving inappropriately when the A80 convoy passed by. The incident took place in the Cau Sat area, Xuan Mai commune (Hanoi).
Xuan Mai Commune Police later verified and asked the students involved to come to work. For traffic violations, the police agency prepared a record, issued a warning and notified the school, and temporarily detained the vehicle.
