Phan Thiet city waste treatment plant ( Lam Dong province) had to stop operating due to violations of environmental protection laws.
On July 2, the Department of Finance of Lam Dong province informed that the Phan Thiet City Waste Treatment Plant (Tien Thanh Ward, Lam Dong Province) must stop operating the entire plant for 6 months, starting from July 1.
Reason for stopping operations, the factory must correct violations of environmental protection laws at the request of the state environmental management agency.
Nhat Hoang Limited Liability Company (the factory investor) is responsible for stopping the project and complying with legal regulations until the project is permitted by the competent authority to continue operating.

The provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for coordinating with the People's Committee of Tien Thanh Ward and relevant agencies to fully perform its tasks to ensure that domestic waste generated in Phan Thiet City (old) is collected, transported, and processed daily, not causing frustration, complications in security and order, urban aesthetics, or causing environmental pollution in the locality.
