The 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament promises to be exciting with the participation of many Vietnamese volleyball stars. In addition, the 2.05 m tall Dutch foreign player in the People's Police team also attracts attention.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with relevant agencies to organize the 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament. In addition, this tournament also aims to strengthen international cooperation, promote cultural and sports exchanges between police forces of various countries, and at the same time improve physical strength and solidarity in the armed forces.

The 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament is a sporting event of important political , cultural and foreign affairs significance, which will officially take place from August 24 to 30, at the National Defense II Sports Stadium of Military Zone 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The tournament brings together 6 teams with more than 150 athletes from 4 Southeast Asian countries, competing in 11 matches over 5 consecutive days.

The three representatives of Vietnam participating include: the People's Police team (the core is the Ho Chi Minh City Police volleyball team), the Army team (The Cong Tan Cang), and the Hanoi team. The international teams include: the Lao Ministry of Public Security team, the Cambodian Ministry of Interior team, and the Indonesian Police team.

Many Vietnamese volleyball players participated

This tournament also has the participation of many excellent athletes who have played or are playing for the Vietnam volleyball team such as Duong Van Tien, Quan Trong Nghia, Pham Quoc Du, Dinh Van Tu (of the People's Public Security team), Tu Thanh Thuan (of the Army team)...

In particular, the regulations of the 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament also allow teams to register foreign players. The People's Police team has the presence of Ter Horst. The Dutch hitter was born in 1991 and is 2.05 m tall.

Ter Horst is a Dutch national team player. He has spent a long time playing for volleyball clubs in Italy, which has one of the best national championships in the world.

At the 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament, 6 teams are divided equally into 2 groups. Group A includes: Army, Ministry of Interior of Cambodia, Ministry of Public Security of Laos. Group B includes: People's Public Security, Hanoi, Indonesian Police. The groups will compete in a round-robin to calculate points and rank. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals, finals and third place match.

Muscle Prize structure

Champion: $10,000.

Runner-up: $8,000.

Third place: $5,000.

Style Award: $3,000.

Outstanding individual award: 300 USD/person.
