At first glance, it seems simple, but to do the "crab" job, it requires the workers to be agile with their hands and have good health, because they have to sit for a long time... They start working from when the boat docks until the last crab legs are separated. To get the meat from the crab legs, it must go through many stages: Receiving the crab legs from the boat owners, steaming and then separating the meat. If steamed too much, the meat will be wasted and it will be very difficult to make it raw. Regardless of the stage, it requires meticulousness and hard work... It is known that this is the main job that supports the families of many people in Phuoc Loc ward, La Gi town. Among them, many people have been attached to this job for decades.

Ms. Huynh Thi Yen Xuan in Quarter 3, Phuoc Loc Ward, La Gi Town shared: "Ready-made crab meat is popular in restaurants and eateries, the "crab" profession was born from that reason and has been maintained and developed until now, I myself have been doing this job for more than 20 years and I will try to stick with the profession to raise my children's education and cover many family expenses".

It is known that the crab separation job is a regular job, almost every day, usually early in the morning the women receive dozens of kilos of crab legs from the boat owner. Whoever does a lot will have a lot of money, for each kilo of crab meat separated from such legs, the worker will be paid 50,000 VND/kg.

With nimble hands, many women in Phuoc Loc ward, La Gi town, every day stick with the "crab" profession to raise their children to study properly with the labor they put in.
