Quang Tri Education Sector strives to make breakthroughs to meet innovation requirements

GD&TĐ - The Quang Tri Education sector has gradually strived to overcome difficulties and basically completed key tasks and solutions for the 2024-2025 school year.

On the afternoon of August 27, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year.

Spearhead quality continues to increase

The 2024-2025 school year takes place in a context where the domestic and provincial situations continue to have mixed advantages and challenges. With the theme "Innovation, improving the quality of solidarity and discipline", the Quang Tri Education sector has constantly strived, overcome difficulties, and basically completed the key tasks and solutions set out.

The conference is an opportunity for the entire Quang Tri Education Sector to look back on the results of the past school year.

With the attention and leadership of the Ministry of Education and Training , the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the close and effective coordination of departments, branches, sectors, and organizations, and the efforts of the management staff, teachers, staff, and students, the Quang Tri Education sector has made efforts and achieved many remarkable results.

In the past school year, the network of schools and classrooms in the province continued to be reviewed and arranged reasonably, meeting the learning needs of learners, ensuring quality and efficiency, in accordance with the practical situation of the locality according to Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate the organization and management system, improving the quality and efficiency of public service units.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.

The whole industry has 929 kindergartens and general schools. (including 4 centers for children with disabilities); 16 vocational education - continuing education centers and 2 provincial continuing education, information technology, foreign language centers. There are 6 secondary schools, 6 colleges and 1 university. In addition, there are 137 foreign language and information technology centers; 270 community learning centers.

Ensuring equitable access to education for all subjects is a focus of the sector. The work of universalizing education at all levels and eliminating illiteracy in the province has many positive changes and basically maintains universalization standards. Educational institutions in ethnic minority and mountainous areas are given priority in investment, repair, upgrading of facilities, and purchase of additional teaching equipment.

Ms. Le Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province, gave a speech at the conference.

Strengthen support for the preschool education program in disadvantaged areas; effectively implement phase 2 of the project to enhance Vietnamese language for ethnic minority children; introduce children to English in places with adequate conditions; 100% of preschool education facilities do a good job of preparing 5-year-old children to be ready for first grade, focusing on linking preschool and primary school.

The 2024-2025 school year is the school year to implement the 2018 General Education Program for all grades from grade 1 to grade 12 according to the roadmap of the Ministry of Education and Training. The Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri has mobilized the participation of Party committees at all levels, authorities at all levels, departments and branches; actively directed educational institutions to implement, therefore, the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program in the province has achieved certain results.

Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Principal of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, spoke at the conference.

The work of guiding students in scientific and technical research has received attention. In the provincial scientific and technical research competition for high school students, 174 projects were selected from 582 projects at the grassroots competition. The Department of Education and Training recognized 102 projects as winners (accounting for 60.20%, including 6 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 38 third prizes and 44 fourth prizes).

At the National Science and Technology Competition: won 5/6 prizes: 1 First; 1 Second; 2 Third; 1 Fourth prize. Participating in the International Science and Technology Competition of the Project "Autonomous wheelchair to support people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in moving and communicating" in the field of Embedded Systems, Quang Tri Town High School won the Fourth prize.

The quality of mass education is maintained; the quality of the key points continues to increase in both the number of participating students and the number of winners. 115/169 participating candidates won prizes (68.04%) including 2 first prizes, 16 second prizes, 34 third prizes and 63 consolation prizes. The high school graduation rate in 2025 reached 98.89%; the average exam score ranked 13/34 nationwide.

In the 2024-2025 school year, 169 candidates participated in the national excellent student selection exam, winning 115 prizes (including: 2 first prizes; 16 second prizes; 34 third prizes; 63 consolation prizes). 5 students were selected to participate in the high school student selection exam for national teams to compete in regional and international Olympics in 2025 .

Determined to successfully achieve new goals

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Le Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri affirmed that the conference is an opportunity for us to look back and comprehensively evaluate the results achieved in the past school year, acknowledge outstanding achievements, good practices, effective models; frankly analyze difficulties, limitations, causes, and draw lessons in directing and organizing implementation.

In particular, clearly define the direction and key tasks for the 2025-2026 school year, thereby being determined, united, and united, creating new motivation and determination for the entire industry to continue to innovate, develop, and meet the requirements in the new period, the period of the rising era of the country and the Vietnamese people.

At the conference, delegates focused on sharing the achieved results, pointing out the shortcomings and limitations, drawing lessons, along with contributions and proposals sent to the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province and the leaders of Quang Tri province.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, congratulated the achievements of Quang Tri Education. In his sharing, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the provincial leaders will continue to pay attention and prioritize resources for developing education in disadvantaged areas, ensuring equal learning opportunities for all children.

Continue to improve institutions, enhance effectiveness and efficiency in state management of education and training.

Develop a team of teachers and educational management staff to meet the requirements of educational and training innovation. Continue to improve policies and regimes for teachers and educational management staff to overcome shortcomings and inadequacies in the implementation process, ensuring sufficient quantity, reasonable structure, and consistent quality.

Improve the efficiency of state budget use and mobilize investment resources to strengthen facilities and improve the quality of education and training.

Innovate political and ideological education, national defense and security education, physical education and school health. Effectively implement political and ideological education in schools; educate students in patriotism, national pride and self-respect, and arouse the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

Improve the quality of human resource training, especially high-quality human resources associated with scientific research and innovation. Innovate and improve the quality of vocational education, focus on directing the recruitment and training of high-quality human resources; focus on training high-quality human resources, key industries and fields, meeting the requirements of developing a knowledge-based economy, digital economy, green economy, and circular economy.

Strengthen international integration in education and training. Improve the effectiveness of international cooperation and proactively integrate in the field of education and training, especially with countries that have traditional friendship and strategic partnership with our country to attract capital and technology from outside to contribute to the development of the province's education sector.

Administrative reform; development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, application of IT. Promote administrative reform, enhance implementation of administrative procedures through online public services and one-stop shops, one-stop shops; develop plans to reduce and simplify administrative procedures related to production and business activities.

Continue to effectively implement emulation movements and communication work throughout the industry. Effectively deploy the emulation movement "The entire education sector competes in innovation, improves the quality of education and training, provides high-quality human resources, meets the requirements of national development" in the period of 2025 - 2030 and emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister.
