The State Bank of Vietnam donated 4 billion VND to implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Tay Ninh province.

Responding to the call of the Government and the Prime Minister, from April 2024 to present, the Banking sector has supported 1,365 billion VND in funding to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.

On the afternoon of July 22, the State Bank of Vietnam organized a donation of 4 billion VND to implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Tay Ninh province. Deputy Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Ngoc Canh, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son, and representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province attended.

Responding to the emulation movement to deploy the peak period of 350 days and nights to successfully implement the program "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" under the direction of the Prime Minister, from the beginning of 2025, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and the Vietnam Banking Trade Union launched a movement for officials, union members and employees in the entire banking system to support at least 1 day's salary to join the banking industry in "Joining hands to eliminate 1,000 temporary and dilapidated houses" nationwide.

At the end of the program, the total amount of money donated by union members and employees of the banking industry was 82 billion VND, equivalent to the cost of building 1,366 new houses (the support level for building new houses is 60 million VND/house), exceeding the target by 36.6%. In particular, Tay Ninh province was awarded 4 billion VND by the State Bank of Vietnam to implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.

This is a program responding to the implementation of the policy of the Party, State, Government, and Prime Minister in launching the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"; striving to achieve the goal of basically eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025, "finishing" 5 years ahead of the set target, practically welcoming the country's important events in 2025, especially the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 and moving towards welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party./.
