Musician Hoang Van (1930-2015) is one of the great names in Vietnamese music . According to Dr. Le Y Linh, the scriptwriter of the program, “For Forever” is taken from the song “For Today, for Tomorrow, for Forever” taken from the suite “Construction Song” composed by musician Hoang Van in 1973. And this sentence also applies to the musical stature and longevity of Hoang Van’s work from memory to the future.

The program introduces typical works of musician Hoang Van, who has devoted his entire creative career to the country and the people. The content of the works focuses on the theme of praising the Communist Party of Vietnam; praising the great President Ho Chi Minh, praising the exemplary soldiers, including the People's Public Security force. Those works carry the strong echoes of the homeland and the country and are pure yet majestic melodies carrying the memories and ideals of a generation of musicians and soldiers on the cultural front; are the voice from the heart representing a peace- loving nation.

Chapter II, titled For the Future, opens up a bright and vibrant space, expressing the spirit of construction and the beauty of a peaceful country. Conductor Le Phi Phi conducts the program.

Conductor Le Phi Phi, Music Director and conductor of the program shared: "For Forever After" is not a memorial program for musician Hoang Van, for us it is a program to pay tribute to the audience who have loved his music for more than half a century. That is why we want to introduce in a deep, selective and highly artistic way - a complete musical portrait of him: from instrumental music, choir, to art songs, and even works that have never been performed or have lost recordings or scores from more than half a century ago".

Conductor Le Phi Phi hopes that “For Ever After” will not only be a memory, but a milestone marking the return and spread of Hoang Van’s music in Vietnam’s artistic life. That music does not only live in memory, but needs to be recreated, loved and continued by the younger generation.
