Google is facing a fine of up to $20 quadrillion in Russia, far exceeding the estimated value of global GDP of about $110 trillion.
Accordingly, a court in Russia has fined Google up to 20 quadrillion trillion USD (the number 20 followed by 33 zeros), because the company blocked 17 different YouTube channels owned by local Russian television networks.

The Russian state news agency TASS quoted lawyer Ivan Morozov as saying that the violations cost Google a fine of 20 quadrillion trillion dollars.
The fine far exceeds the estimated value of the global GDP of about $110 trillion (12 zeros). The lawyer shared that the Russian court ordered Google to restore the Russian media accounts on YouTube, but the company did not comply.
TASS reported that if Google does not pay the fine within 9 months, the fine will double every day.
According to TASS, expert Roman Yankovsky from the HSEEducational Institute said that Google will clearly not pay the fine and Russia cannot collect the fine from the American technology company.
Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is worth just over $2 trillion. Even if it made $80.54 billion in Q2, the search giant still wouldn’t be able to pay the fine.
Google suspended Russian media accounts to comply with US sanctions, according to court filings seen by Bloomberg in 2021. Google can only return to the Russian market if it complies with the court's decision.
