(Fatherland) - On February 28, Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema organized a workshop on “Improving the quality of teaching and learning at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema”, aiming to raise issues from theory to practice about teaching and learning of students in the digital age.
Dr. Pham Huy Quang - Acting Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, said that in the context of strong changes in highereducation in response to the requirements of innovation and integration, improving the quality of teaching and learning is both a key goal and a driving force for sustainable development of each training institution.
The workshop was attended by lecturers, artists, experts in the fields of theater, cinema, education and students.
"The workshop is organized to create a forum for scientists , lecturers, experts and students to exchange and share experiences, initiatives and practical solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning," emphasized Dr. Pham Huy Quang.
In our country, Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema is a pioneer in the field of training in the fields of Theatre Arts, Drama, Cinema - Television, Art Design and Photography, and creative industries. It is extremely urgent to constantly improve teaching methods and update modern training trends.
Through the workshop, delegates focused on discussing key issues through the presentations "Where to start improving the quality of teaching and learning at school" - Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Thi Bich Ha, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association, "Improving the quality of choreography for actors of the traditional drama department" - Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of the University of Theater and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City, "Training program: The bottleneck of all bottlenecks" - Master. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Deputy Director of TFS, Ho Chi Minh City Television, "Solutions to digitize art documents for teaching art" - Master. People's Artist Ho Van Thanh,... on the need to innovate teaching and learning methods towards creativity, technology application and increased practice.
Along with that, the development of skills for students, especially critical thinking, creativity and teamwork skills, is also emphasized to meet the requirements of the current art labor market. At the seminar, many students also raised the concern of "Needing to equip facilities and applications when studying film music" to get closer to reality. The students' sharing is also considered and weighed by the school in the upcoming teaching work.
