Since then, the CVĐ has grown stronger in both breadth and depth, contributing to improving the quality of technical assurance work for the Military Region's Armed Forces and Border Guards in the area, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Promote technical agencies at all levels

Arriving at the 659th Transport Brigade, the Logistics and Engineering Department of Military Region 9, we witnessed vehicles of various types, although used for many years, being preserved, maintained, and sealed in accordance with regulations. Good, durable, safe, economical

With the mission of training, combat readiness; rescue, construction of works; collection and destruction of bombs and mines, the 25th Engineer Brigade manages many vehicles, equipment, and motorbikes in a difficult working environment and conditions. On the other hand, the technical facilities of the units tasked with construction of works do not meet the requirements for preservation, maintenance, and repair... which has significantly affected the implementation of the mission. “With the motto “Keep well, use durably, safely, economically”, the Brigade focuses on improving the quality of technical training, supplementing driving skills for drivers and machine operators; strictly implementing the technical day and hour regime, building a regular technical industry; doing a good job of preserving, maintaining, repairing, and increasing the lifespan of technical equipment. The unit’s officers and soldiers always uphold their responsibility and sense of thrift, thereby preventing waste and loss, and using equipment effectively, prolonging its lifespan”, shared Lieutenant Colonel Do Quang Tuyen, Deputy Brigade Commander of the 25th Engineering Brigade.

To exploit weapons and equipment (VKTB) well, durably and maintain, restore technical features, tactics, quality, synchronization... management work is carried out by units strictly, systematically, regularly and uniformly. Units have proactively reviewed and proposed to remove from the payroll outdated equipment, equipment with no alternative sources of materials; done a good job of receiving, distributing, transferring, and recovering VKTB according to regulations...

Realizing that the goal of saving is an important content, in recent years, units have proactively and strictly implemented regulations and standards on management, effective, strict and economical use of defense budget resources. The logistics and technical sector of Military Region 9 directed logistics and technical agencies at all levels to promote research and application of scientific research results to technical assurance activities. The focus is on innovating methods and processes, increasing the use of new technologies in preserving, maintaining and sealing military equipment, especially for special military equipment. Hundreds of scientific and technological topics, tasks, initiatives, and technical improvements at the grassroots level have been applied in practice, contributing to improving the quality of preservation, maintenance, repair, and storage of technical equipment... The above results can confirm that the good implementation of Campaign 50 contributes to improving the quality of technical work, ensuring good activities, and at the same time enhancing the combined strength of the Military Region 9 Armed Forces and the Border Guard in the area.

The technical tasks set new and higher requirements; the need to exploit and use military equipment increasingly requires greater frequency and intensity. The Party Committee and the Military Region Command will continue to lead and direct the implementation of Campaign 50 to be closer to the requirements and tasks of each unit. Do a good job of propaganda to create a change in awareness for officers, soldiers, and technical staff, bringing the implementation of Campaign 50 deeper and more effectively. (Major General NGUYEN MINH TRIEU, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9)

The Steering Committee of Military Region 50 regularly pays attention to and directs agencies and units to focus on thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing documents of all levels on the management, exploitation and use of weapons and equipment, focusing on the content of safety training; at the same time, strengthen inspection and strictly maintain compliance with safety procedures and rules before, during and after performing tasks, especially in training, drills and live-fire. In particular, thoroughly grasp the awareness of strictly following technological procedures and safety rules when working in contact with ammunition and handling level 5 ammunition; perform well the work of inspecting ammunition quality; regularly organize drills on fire and explosion prevention and fighting plans and combat readiness plans to protect units. From 2020 to present, the Military Region has organized the handling of hundreds of tons of level 5 ammunition to ensure safety and absolutely safe technical facilities. The Military Region's armed forces regularly and strictly implement regulations on occupational safety and hygiene, traffic safety, contributing to reducing occupational accidents and diseases, raising awareness and responsibility for all soldiers when participating in traffic.
