Van Cu Pho Village in Dong Son Commune is the cradle of Nam Dinh Pho in particular and Vietnamese Pho in general. To develop the brand of the craft village, Van Cu Pho Association has developed the Project "Developing Van Cu Pho Village in the period 2025-2035, with a vision to 2050".

Accordingly, the Project unanimously chose the 9th day of the 3rd lunar month every year as "Van Cu Pho Traditional Day". On this day, the children of Van Cu village who are doing pho business from all over the country and abroad will return to their hometown to offer incense to the ancestors of the profession, and organize pho stalls to serve the people and tourists from all over the world.

The project proposes solutions to preserve the traditional pho profession; including strengthening training programs, teaching the traditional pho profession to the young generation in the village. Organizing competitions and skill competitions to encourage creativity and preserve the identity of Van Cu pho. Improving product quality, applying advanced technology in the production and processing of pho but still maintaining the traditional features in the flavor and way of cooking pho. Ensuring food hygiene and safety standards to create trust for consumers. Developing and expanding the brand, building a logo to identify the "Pho Van Cu" brand; encouraging and mobilizing members to develop the Association; increasing participation in fairs, culinary exhibitions, organizing cultural and culinary events to promote typical and traditional pho products to domestic and foreign customers.

Call for investment to improve the transportation system, upgrade processing facilities and local pho restaurants to meet the needs of tourists and consumers. Combine vocational development and craft village tourism, research and develop a tourism model to experience the traditional pho making process in Van Cu village; coordinate to organize tours and culinary festivals to attract tourists, contributing to the development of the local economy .

The project sets specific goals: In the 2025-2030 period, focus on preserving and developing product quality, building brands and basic infrastructure; coordinate in organizing conferences to promote investment in craft villages. In the 2030-2035 period, expand the Van Cu pho brand consumption market internationally; promote craft village tourism and perfect the management system, preserve local cultural heritage to promote the image and culture of Van Cu pho craft village - the cradle of pho, contributing to enriching Vietnamese culinary culture.
