On the afternoon of March 13, the matches in the 1/8 round of the 2023/2024 National Cup continued to take place. At Quy Nhon Stadium, the home team Binh Dinh welcomed Nam Dinh in a confrontation between two clubs playing in the V-League.

With the desire to win the title, Nam Dinh proactively pushed up the attacking formation from the beginning and caused many difficulties for Binh Dinh. However, it was not until near the end of the first half that the away team had the opening goal.

In the 43rd minute, Van Vi won the ball and drove straight into the penalty area, calmly crossing to Hendrio inside. The Brazilian player also handled the ball very calmly before shooting into the home team's net from close range.

Conceding a goal, Binh Dinh tried to press in the second half but the solidity of goalkeeper Nguyen Manh and the defenders helped Nam Dinh secure the victory. With this minimal victory, Nam Dinh won the right to enter the quarterfinals and will face Binh Duong , the team that beat Long An 3-1.

In another match of the day, SLNA lost 0-1 to Da Nang despite playing at home in Vinh. The team from the First Division will meet Hanoi FC in the quarterfinals.
