According to Mr. Tuan, on September 23, there was a report about the representative board of parents of Phu Cat High School No. 3 (Phu Cat district) mobilizing to collect money to buy televisions for teaching 10th graders; and the representative board of parents of Nguyen Huu Quang High School (Cat Tien town, Phu Cat district) mobilizing to collect money to build a student parking lot.

Specifically, the parent representative board of Phu Cat High School No. 3 mobilized money to buy 7 televisions for more than 50 million VND.

The parent representative committee of Nguyen Huu Quang High School has mobilized more than 70 million VND from parents.

"Immediately after that, the department invited the principals of these two schools to a meeting and made corrections, requesting corrections according to the feedback. The department requested Phu Cat High School No. 3 to remove 7 TVs and return them to the parent representative board of grade 10 students," said Mr. Tuan.

For Nguyen Huu Quang High School, the department directed the school's board of directors to request the parents' representative committee to stop fundraising and refund money to parents who contributed to the construction of a student parking lot.

According to Mr. Tuan, the story of whether the parents' representative committee stood up to mobilize or had the opinions of teachers and principals to mobilize, the department will check and handle further.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Dinh province also said that there will be many fees collected at the beginning of the school year. In order for parents to clearly understand the fees and avoid misunderstandings or overcharging, the department has requested all educational institutions to publicly disclose the fees according to the decision of the competent authority, the content and form of disclosure are specified in Circular No. 09/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training .

In addition, because at the beginning of the school year, parents and students' families have to spend a lot of money to buy clothes, textbooks, school supplies, etc. The Departmentof Education and Training of Binh Dinh province recommends that schools not collect tuition fees in September 2024 and extend the collection of tuition fees for the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year to the last months of 2024 to reduce difficulties for students and parents.
