Messi sets new record for goals scored from direct free kicks
The goal just scored helped Messi have a total of 68 goals from direct free kicks, ranking only behind former player Juninho Pernambucano (77 goals) and Pele (70 goals), in the list of players who have scored the most goals from free kicks in history.

Messi's classy goal took place in the 54th minute, from a distance of about 20 meters, the Argentine player who will soon turn 38 (June 24) made a perfect shot to defeat goalkeeper Claudio Ramos (FC Porto), raising the score to 2-1 for Inter Miami.
Before that, Samu Aghehowa opened the score 1-0 for FC Porto in the 8th minute from the 11m mark, after defender Noah Allen (Inter Miami) fouled player Gabri Veiga in the penalty area.
