The exhibition opened on June 19 at Le Bourget, a suburb of Paris, with the participation of about 2,500 companies and countless models of planes, helicopters, UAVs, and flying cars, according to AFP. This is the world's largest air show, taking place alternately with the Farnborough exhibition in the UK.

On the first day of the exhibition, many aircraft orders were signed, including a record deal between low-cost airline IndiGo (India) and European aircraft manufacturer Airbus. According to AFP, Airbus will sell 500 narrow-body A320 commercial aircraft to IndiGo at a list price of 55 billion USD. This is the largest contract in history, surpassing the preliminary agreement between Airbus and Boeing (USA) with Air India (India) in providing 470 commercial aircraft, expected to be signed at this exhibition.

Paris Air Show is bustling with "huge" orders, defense equipment is in good shape

With the demand for travel increasing after the pandemic, combined with the trend of modernizing the fleet to reduce emissions, aviation managers estimate that the market still needs 2,000 new aircraft in addition to the number announced at the exhibition. On the other hand, military aircraft, missiles and flying cars are also attracting attention.
