Mangosteen trees grown in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province, have their main harvest season in August and September every year, 2-3 months later than the mangosteen season in the Southwest region.
It is known that Bao Loc mangosteen is currently priced from 60,000-70,000 VND/kg. In September 2023, Bao Loc mangosteen products were granted a certification mark by the Department of Intellectual Property ( Ministry of Science and Technology ).
Bao Loc City is actively developing regulations for using mangosteen certification trademarks; promoting and widely disseminating information so that farmers can register to use the Bao Loc mangosteen trademark as well as consumers can know about the mangosteen brand from the highland city.
It is known that currently in Bao Loc TO area of Lam Dong province, there are 232 hectares of mangosteen trees; the mangosteen growing area in the city is increasing steadily, bringing stable income to farmers growing this specialty fruit tree.
Bao Loc mangosteen products (Lam Dong province) have been granted a certification trademark by the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology). In the 2024 mangosteen crop, the price of mangosteen in Bao Loc currently fluctuates between 60,000-70,000 VND/kg.
