This result officially helped Pep Guardiola and his team to advance to the next round with the top spot in the group. This was the first victory of the English team against the “Old Lady” of Turin since 1976.

Despite continuing to rotate his squad, coach Pep Guardiola still created a cohesive and fast-paced team. As early as the 9th minute, new signing Rayan Ait-Nouri provided a classy assist for Jeremy Doku to open the scoring with a tricky shot into the far corner. However, Man City's early advantage did not last long, when goalkeeper Ederson made a mistake with a bad pass, allowing Teun Koopmeiners to score the equalizer just 2 minutes later.

Man City regained the lead in surprising fashion when Matheus Nunes's effort was not dangerous but Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu accidentally put the ball into his own net. Before the end of the first half, Omar Marmoush and Ait-Nouri repeatedly tested goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, forcing him to save.

In the second half, Guardiola sent Erling Haaland onto the pitch and was immediately effective. From a well-coordinated combination, Nunes assisted Haaland to easily tap the ball in to increase the score to 3-1 in the 52nd minute. Not long after, Juventus had a chance to reduce the gap but Dusan Vlahović could not defeat Ederson in the face-off.

The decisive blow came in the 69th minute, when Phil Foden made it 4-1, before Savinho scored the best goal of the game with a shot from outside the box that bounced off the crossbar and into the net. Vlahovic then grabbed a consolation goal in the final 10 minutes, but it was no change.
