Malaysia Airlines officially opens Kuala Lumpur route

On September 24, flight MH748 from Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia Airlines landed at Da Nang International Airport; the flight transported 160 passengers to visit and experience tourism services in Da Nang city.

Leaders of Da Nang Department of Tourism, Central Airport Authority, Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, Tourism Association, Da Nang Tourism Development Promotion Fund, and representatives of Malaysia Airlines welcomed the flight and the first passengers from Malaysia to Da Nang.

Within the framework of the program, there was a water spraying ceremony, welcoming art performances, giving flowers and gifts to the first passengers, and taking souvenir photos.

Malaysia Airlines is the national airline of Malaysia, a member of the Malaysia Airlines Group, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia Airlines operates the Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang route with a frequency of 7 flights/week using B737-800 aircraft. The new route will help increase the total number of flights of the airlines from Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang to 28 flights/week.

Warmly welcomed at the welcoming ceremony, passenger Amir Azman (Malaysian nationality) said that this was the second time his family had come to Da Nang and this time Amir Azman's family brought their children along. His family really likes Da Nang, especially the sea, and will stay for 4 days to visit famous scenic spots in Da Nang and go boating in Hoi An ( Quang Nam ).

Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Tan Van Vuong said that Malaysia is always in the Top 10 international markets to the city. In August 2024, the city's leadership delegation had a working trip to Malaysia, meeting and working with Malaysia Airlines to promote and advertise Da Nang tourism in general and the Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang route in particular. In the coming time, the tourism industry will continue to coordinate with Malaysia Airlines to organize Famtrip, Presstrip, and KOLs delegations to experience Da Nang tourism and support communication activities to promote Da Nang to Malaysian tourists.

According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, the opening of the new route from Kuala Lumpur to Da Nang has increased the total number of flights of the airline from Kuala Lumpur to Vietnam to 34 flights/week. With a flight network spanning across Asia, Europe, and Oceania with nearly 1,000 destinations in more than 170 countries and territories, the tourism industry of Da Nang city expects Malaysia Airlines to be the bridge to help the city expand its tourism market to attractive destinations around the world.
