With high performance, Ly Hoang Nam (ranked 549th in the world ) and Sander Jong (Netherlands, ranked 599th in the world) gave tennis fans a balanced final match of the M15 Nakhon Si Thamarat tournament with many eye-catching and exciting moves.

In the first two sets, each player broke their opponent's serve twice, forcing the set into a tie-break. Each player won one set to take the match to a deciding third set.

In the crucial set, Ly Hoang Nam and Sander Jong played cautiously, taking advantage of every opportunity. After a 3-3 tie, each player had a break to bring the score of set 3 to 4-4.

The turning point came in the 9th game when good defense helped Hoang Nam break again to lead 5-4. In the following game, Hoang Nam did not miss the opportunity when he was given the right to serve and won 6-4, closing the match after 3 hours and 1 minute of competition. Such a long match is not something that happens often in tournaments in the M15 system.

The men's singles championship title at the Thailand M15 Nakhon Si Thammarat 2024 international tennis tournament helped Hoang Nam win his 11th title in tournaments within the ITF system. This is also the first time in nearly 2 years that Hoang Nam has won an international title.

Next week, Ly Hoang Nam will continue to stay in Nakhon Si Thammarat to compete in the next M15 tournament.
