Postponing the payment of pensions in cash in Ho Chi Minh City

(Dan Tri) - From March, the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency will pay pensions and social insurance benefits in cash from the 7th of every month.

Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance has just announced the adjustment of the payment schedule for pensions and social insurance benefits in cash from March.

Accordingly, to implement the Government 's direction on non-cash payments, including monthly pension and social insurance payments, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance will adjust the schedule for pension and social insurance payments in cash from March 2025.

Specifically, payment at the Post Office 's payment points will start from the 7th to the 10th of each month; payment at the Central/District Post Offices will start from the 11th to the 25th of each month.

In case the payment start date according to the above schedule falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the payment date will be the next working day.

In the announcement, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance recommends that pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries open accounts to receive pensions and social insurance benefits through their accounts conveniently and quickly.

Currently, pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries through their accounts will still be paid from the 1st of each month, meaning that the March pension payment will be received on March 1.

Pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries can contact payment staff or bank staff at the payment point for instructions on registering to open an account.
