Cultural bridge
According to the organizing committee of the Danang Asian Film Festival 2025 (DANAFF 3), the event is not only an artistic playground but also a cultural bridge between Vietnam and Asian countries and the world . Through that, together we honor the values of humanistic cinema, innovation and diverse identity.
In particular, this year's program content has been expanded with many new highlights, notably the launch of the "Asian Cinema Panorama" program - a selection of excellent and successful Asian cinema works at international film festivals in the past year, along with films selected by DANAFF for their premiere. This year also marks the appearance of the "Asian Film Critics Award" in the "Asian Cinema Panorama" program.
As one of the key programs of DANAFF III, the selected film screening program "Half a century of Vietnamese films about war" organized in coordination with the Vietnam Film Institute, to introduce 22 typical works, providing a multi-dimensional cinematic perspective on war.
DANAFF III will screen selected war films produced after 1975. These are works that have won awards at Vietnamese film festivals or international film festivals, many of which are remembered and loved by Vietnamese audiences.

Along with the film screenings are meetings and conversations between the audience and famous artists and war filmmakers of all generations.
In the DANAFF III Cinema Spotlight program, Korea was selected and introduced as a country - representing a cinema with great influence in the region, having gone through many ups and downs before rising strongly on the world cinema map.
On this occasion, DANAFF 3 will introduce 14 typical works produced from the 60s of the 20th century to the present through the program "Imprints of Korean cinema through each time period".
With the slogan “DANAFF - Asian Bridge”, the 3rd Danang Asian Film Festival - 2025 will be held in Danang city from June 29 to July 5.
The total number of films selected for the programs in DANAFF III is more than 100 (compared to 46 films in DANAFF I and 63 films in DANAFF II). The number of film screenings increased to about 200 (compared to 100 in the previous season).
Living proof of the event city
After two successful events in 2023 and 2024, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival has left beautiful impressions in the hearts of cinema lovers as well as professional staff.

This year's Asian Film Festival aims to connect and support the new generation of filmmakers, contributing to building a sustainable Asian film community.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee said that with the orientation of developing Da Nang into an event city, a creative city, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival is a vivid demonstration of the unceasing efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of the city in bringing cinema, art and culture to deeply integrate with the region and the world.
Da Nang hopes that this year's Da Nang Asian Film Festival will continue to bring a creative artistic space, where filmmakers, directors, and actors gather, exchange, share, and inspire.
Through the event, Da Nang also wants to convey the message and image of a young, dynamic, friendly city with great potential for developing cultural industry to international friends.
