Finishing the first stage of the SEA V.League in the Philippines in 3rd place (after Thailand and Indonesia), the Vietnamese men's volleyball team brought a lot of expectations because of their impressive performance when they beat the Thai team 3-1 and lost 2-3 to the Indonesian team. That is the basis for experts and Vietnamese volleyball fans to believe that coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team are capable of creating an explosion in the second stage, competing fairly for the championship title.
