VHO - The ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs of the People's Public Security Forces through the ages, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' tradition day. The ceremony was coordinated by the Vietnam Association of Former People's Public Security Forces, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh Province and Ngoa Van Tourism Company, with the participation of nearly 300 former female People's Public Security Forces through the ages and relatives of families of People's Public Security martyrs.

On June 26, the ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs of the People's Public Security through the ages, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the People's Public Security force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) took place at the special national historical site of Ngoa Van Pagoda (Dong Trieu City, Quang Ninh Province), where King Buddha Emperor Tran Nhan Tong practiced his last days and became a Buddha here.

Performing a solemn gratitude ceremony at the Ngoa Van Tourist Center, the delegation listened to the merits of King Tran Nhan Tong, a famous Emperor in Vietnamese history, who made Dai Viet a powerful nation.

Dr. Bui Huu Duoc, former Director of the Department of Buddhism, Government Committee for Religious Affairs, shared that throughout his life, King Tran Nhan Tong devoted his life to the country and the people, always upholding the spirit of national independence, respecting peace , and persistently pursuing reconciliation to build a happy life together. King Tran Nhan Tong passed away more than 700 years ago, but his achievements are still evident everywhere in Vietnam.

Dr. Bui Huu Duoc, former Director of the Department of Buddhism, Government Committee for Religious Affairs, spoke at the ceremony.

“Returning to the place where King Tran Nhan Tong became a Buddha is returning to the most sacred holy land, returning to the land to soothe the pain, to awaken the aspirations for a noble life,” said Dr. Bui Huu Duoc.

At the gratitude ceremony, Major General Vu Hung Vuong, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Deputy Director General of the General Department of the People's Police, former Director of the Department of Drug Crime Prevention and Control, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Former People's Police Officers affirmed that the gratitude ceremony is one of the practical activities to compete for achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Police sector.

The gratitude ceremony became even more meaningful when it was held at the Truc Lam Buddhist sanctuary, both commemorating King Tran Nhan Tong and commemorating heroic martyrs of the Public Security in general and heroic martyrs of the Public Security in particular, including heroic martyrs who have become legends of the country such as: Vo Thi Sau, Nguyen Thi Loi, Bui Thi Cuc...

Major General Vu Hung Vuong, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Deputy Director General of the General Department of the People's Police, former Director of the Department of Drug Crime Prevention Police, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Former People's Police Officers, spoke at the tribute ceremony.

Major General Vu Hung Vuong affirmed that the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs have made the nation's independence, contributed to the country's cause of peace, not only wrote the glorious history of the People's Public Security force, but also created opportunities to demonstrate the morality of "mutual love", the tradition of "remembering the person who planted the tree when eating the fruit"...

Colonel Pham Mai Dung, Deputy Head of the Liaison Committee for Retired Female Police Officers, Ministry of Public Security, said that since its inception, 321 female police officers have heroically sacrificed their lives, 35 comrades have been awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces; hundreds of steadfast women are examples of women who are ready to sacrifice themselves for the cause of the Party, the revolution, and the nation.

“You are shining examples for generations of female police officers to follow. This is a practical activity to deeply express gratitude for the great contributions of heroic martyrs, including the People's Police martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people,” emphasized Colonel Pham Mai Dung, Deputy Head of the Liaison Committee for Retired Female Police Officers, Ministry of Public Security.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation also spent time visiting and learning about the temple of female general Le Chan.
