The Kho Gia Gia Festival of the Ha Nhi people takes place from June 28 - 30, 2025

For 3 days, from June 28 to 30, 2025, in all Ha Nhi villages in Bat Xat district, the Kho Gia Gia Festival will take place with many traditional rituals, demonstrating the cultural beauty and worship of the agricultural god of the Black Ha Nhi people.

According to traditional customs, the Kho Gia Gia Festival (also known as Khu Gia Gia) of the Black Ha Nhi people in Bat Xat district this year will take place from June 28 to 30, 2025 (June 4 to 6, 2025 lunar calendar). The venue is in villages and hamlets with a large population of Ha Nhi people in the communes of Y Ty, A Lu, Nam Pung, and Trinh Tuong.

On June 28, 2025, Ha Nhi people in villages will clean up the park area and re-roof the worshiping hut in the park, where traditional community ceremonies take place.

On June 29, 2025, in the villages of the Black Ha Nhi people, a buffalo slaughter will be held to offer sacrifices to the gods and the buffalo meat will be divided for families to take home to worship their ancestors and organize a festive meal, while also preparing for the community worship ceremony.

The Kho Gia Gia Festival has many traditional rituals that demonstrate the beauty of the cultural identity of the Ha Nhi people.

June 30, 2025 is the main festival day. The Ha Nhi people will hold a communal ceremony at the village park, praying for favorable weather, good harvests, and good health for everyone in the village, and a prosperous and happy life.

Coming to the Kho Gia Gia festival of the Ha Nhi people, along with learning about the rituals, visitors will discover the beauty of Ha Nhi villages, join the locals in unique folk games such as swinging, merry-go-round, jumping rope and traditional sports , and enjoy Ha Nhi cuisine... All take place in a cultural space imbued with national identity, filled with joy and community solidarity.

Since 2015, the Kho Gia Gia Festival of the Black Ha Nhi people in the Bat Xat highlands has been ranked as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism .
