On July 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference with localities on the economic growth scenario for 2025 and tasks and solutions to achieve the 2025 growth target.

Attending and chairing at the Lam Dong provincial bridge point were comrades: Nguyen Hoai Anh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The conference was connected online to the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones of Lam Dong province.

These are the major orientations to enter a new era - the era of the nation's rise to become rich, civilized, prosperous, and the people increasingly prosperous and happy.

The Prime Minister requested that in order to achieve the growth target of over 8% (specifically from 8.3% - 8.5%), it is necessary to analyze and dissect the internal and general situation, find optimal solutions to handle impacts, promote growth, especially green growth, digital growth... Localities must propose growth scenarios and other important and urgent issues in their direction and administration.

The Prime Minister stated that the entire political system must act synchronously, professionally, and with direction. With the growth target of 8.3% - 8.5%, the total social investment is 12%, from the central to local levels, departments, branches, and enterprises must participate; must identify tasks, solutions, growth pillars, and growth drivers...

To create momentum and position for double-digit growth in the next term, it is necessary to restructure and transform the growth model in the new period, remove bottlenecks, exploit resources, unify perceptions, ensure set goals... tasks must be synchronized, localities must participate...

At the Conference, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang presented the Report on the socio-economic situation and 2 growth scenarios until the end of the year. Scenario 1 is 8% growth and scenario 2 is 8.3% - 8.5% growth...

Leaders of ministries, branches and localities presented growth scenarios and proposed solutions to the Government for the last 6 months of the year... The majority of delegates agreed to strive for a growth scenario of 8.3% - 8.5%.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that the socio-economic development situation of the province in the first 6 months of the year was basically stable. GRDP in the first 6 months of the year increased by about 6% over the same period.

Tourists to Lam Dong are estimated to reach over 12 million, up more than 20% over the same period (international visitors are estimated to reach nearly 800 thousand, up 56% over the same period). Total export turnover is estimated to reach 1,527 million USD, up 28.3% over the same period.

As of June 30, the total disbursed capital for the 2025 and 2024 plans extended to VND 4,382 billion/VND 18,908 billion, reaching 23.2% of the plan (0.8% higher than the same period and VND 659 billion in disbursed capital).

Total state budget revenue by June 30 reached VND16,256 billion, equal to 57.5% of the local estimate, up 9.85% over the same period. Total local budget expenditure reached VND27,511 billion, equal to 57.33% of the local estimate.

The province has more than 1,500 newly established enterprises, with registered capital reaching VND8,500 billion, an increase of 18.3% in the number of enterprises and 0.23% in registered capital compared to the same period; there are 36 newly licensed projects with a total registered investment capital reaching VND13,700 billion.

The work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 is being urgently implemented. Up to now, 3,448/3,756 houses have been completed and put into use with a total cost of 116 billion VND, reaching 93%; the remaining 308 houses are expected to be completed, reaching 100% of the plan in July 2025...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi took responsibility to the Government and committed to effectively implementing the set goals.

However, according to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Lam Dong's weakness in disbursing public investment capital is compensation for site clearance. In the coming time, the province will establish a Compensation and Site Clearance Board and propose the Provincial Party Secretary to be the Head of the Board.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi proposed that the Government add the expressway connecting Dak Nong, Lam Dong and Binh Thuan provinces to the national expressway network planning; promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles for the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section; continue to pay attention to and remove difficulties for 23 energy projects...
