In the first 6 months of the year, the Lai Chau Provincial Branch of the Bank for Social Policies focused on effectively implementing tasks such as: capital mobilization, lending to poor households and policy beneficiaries, debt settlement, credit quality management as well as effective implementation of loan delegation coordination. As of July 15, the total capital source reached over VND 4,169 million, reaching 72.8% of the annual plan. Credit quality continued to be consolidated, with the bad debt ratio accounting for only 0.1%. Capital recovery was effective with the interest rate reaching 102.1%, debt collection on time 101%. Transactions were maintained stably in 100% of communes and wards, contributing significantly to ensuring social security in the area.

At the inspection session, the Delegation discussed and agreed on solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in organizing the implementation of policy credit tasks in the area in the coming time.
Speaking at the inspection, Mr. Hoang Minh Te - Deputy General Director of the Bank for Social Policies praised the achievements of the Lai Chau Branch of the Bank for Social Policies in recent times; at the same time, he requested that the Branch continue to promote propaganda work, improve credit quality, enhance the application of information technology in business management and loan supervision. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to handling overdue debts, frozen debts and closely coordinate with localities and mass organizations to improve the effectiveness of policy credit in the area.
Inspection team at Muong Cang transaction point (Than Uyen commune).
On this occasion, the delegation inspected the transaction points of Than Uyen and Tan Uyen communes. The inspection delegation highly appreciated the efforts of the transaction points in closely following the direction of the Central Bank for Social Policies and the Provincial Bank for Social Policies, effectively implementing preferential credit programs, especially in expanding access to capital for poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries, actively contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and socio -economic development in the locality.
