The total outstanding loans were over 17,000 billion VND, of which over 70% were for the agricultural and rural sectors. Preferential credit programs and loan packages to support production and business after the pandemic have been implemented effectively, helping people and businesses gradually recover production. Accompanying the province's key economic programs, Agribank Son La has promoted lending for clean and high-tech agricultural development, value chain linkage and digital transformation in the agricultural sector. Outstanding loans for clean and high-tech agriculture reached VND 161.5 billion.
To ensure resources for credit operations, the Party Committee of Agribank Son La directed the implementation of many solutions to increase capital sources, especially capital sources from the population. Mobilized products were diversified, interest rates were flexible, and customer care policies were improved.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Planning and Risk Management Department, said: Implementing the Resolution on strengthening leadership in handling problem debts, bad debts, and improving credit quality, the Party Cell advised the Party Committee to directly specialized departments to analyze and evaluate the current situation and recovery ability of problem debts and risk-handling debts to develop appropriate plans and roadmaps for each debt, proactively implementing them from the beginning of the year; speed up the progress of handling and recovering problem debts according to the developed plan; assign responsibility to each related department and individual, ensure operational safety for the entire system.
In addition, Agribank Son La diversifies distribution channels, innovates transaction styles, simplifies documents and procedures; coordinates with socio-political organizations to promote lending through loan groups, improves the quality of fixed transaction points and mobile transactions by specialized cars in commune centers and commune clusters, ensures the most effective supply of credit and banking products and services to remote areas, contributing to limiting "black credit".
Party building work was given attention, the Party Committee focused on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of groundswells party organizations, implementing the model of "four good party cells" and "four good groundswells party organizations" according to the guidance of the higher-level Party Committee. During the term, 65 new party members were introduced, exceeding the resolution by 8.3%. Inspection and supervision work was focused on, conducting 34 inspections of 11 party cells and 57 party members.
In addition, Agribank Son La also actively participates in social security work, sponsoring over 66 billion VND for charity activities, gratitude, supporting the poor; building civil works, gratitude houses, supporting poor students....
