Over the past century, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has always been the vanguard on the ideological and cultural front, accompanying the nation in the struggle for liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.
Along with the national press, Lang Son press has developed strongly, becoming a reliable bridge between the Party, government and people of all ethnic groups in Lang Son province.

According to comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, from the first printed newspapers such as Tin Lang Son in 1964, the initial radio program from 1979, and experimental television from 1991, up to now, Lang Son's press system has fully developed all types: printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television, press photos and new media channels.

From April 1, 2025, Lang Son Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station will merge into a modern, multimedia press agency, meeting the trend of digital transformation of national press.
Comrade Doan Thi Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Lang Son province, affirmed that today's achievements are the crystallization of many generations of resilient and courageous journalists. In every revolutionary period, the team of Lang Son journalists always maintained professional ethics, promptly and truthfully reflected, conveyed the breath of life, spread good human values, and contributed to strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party.

In particular, the Lang Son Provincial Press Award, launched in 2020, has become a prestigious professional playground, arousing and nurturing a widespread press creativity movement.
After 5 years, the Award has attracted 513 entries in 5 categories: print, electronic, radio, television, and photojournalism. Of these, 225 entries have won prizes with increasingly improved quality, many articles and reports deeply reflecting socio -economic, defense-security, and foreign affairs issues, making an important contribution to the work of orienting public opinion.
Thanks to that foundation, Lang Son press has confidently reached out to a larger playing field. In 5 years, the province has had 42 works participating in the National Press Awards, winning 3 awards, and also won many prestigious specialized awards from the Central such as: Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, National Radio and Television Festival, Press Award on Natural Resources and Environment, Political Award for protecting the Party's ideological foundation...
Directing the celebration, Comrade Doan Thi Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Lang Son province, requested that press agencies and journalists continue to promote the glorious 100-year tradition of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, closely following the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the local political tasks.
Lang Son province will continue to issue favorable mechanisms and policies for Lang Son press to develop strongly, modernly, professionally, meet diverse information needs, and contribute to building a dynamic and deeply integrated Lang Son.

On this occasion, 50 excellent works of various genres were awarded the 5th Lang Son Provincial Press Award. At the same time, the Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee also decided to award Certificates of Merit to 23 outstanding individual journalists and 4 outstanding collectives at the ceremony.
