Lang Son meets with revolutionary veterans and workers on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day

On August 26, Lang Son province organized a meeting with veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-uprising cadres, meritorious people, and typical policy families to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Since the glorious milestone of September 2, 1945, during the 80 years of the country's founding, under the direct, talented and wise leadership of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Vietnamese people have united, promoted the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, bravery, intelligence and creativity, steadfastly overcome difficulties, heroically fought against foreign invaders, gained independence, freedom, national unification and maintained sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In recent years, the work of caring for people with meritorious services in Lang Son province has been especially well led, directed and implemented by Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio- political organizations.

Revolutionary veterans, pre-uprising cadres, meritorious people, and typical policy families participated in the meeting program.

Thereby, the material and spiritual life of meritorious people and their relatives has been gradually stabilized and improved. Every month, the province pays regular allowances to nearly 3,500 meritorious people and their relatives, with a payment amount of nearly 10.5 billion VND.

Speaking at the program, comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lang Son province expressed his deep gratitude for the great, persistent and silent sacrifices and contributions of veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-uprising cadres, meritorious people, and policy families in Lang Son province.

Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lang Son province spoke at the meeting.

2025 is the year for the entire Party, people and army to be determined, make efforts, be creative and make breakthroughs to complete and exceed the goals and targets set by the 13th National Party Congress; organize Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Lang Son province is focusing on leading and directing socio-economic development, caring for and improving the material and spiritual life of the people, continuing to effectively implement the two-level local government, building a clean and strong Party and political system in all aspects; focusing on directing the preparation of conditions for the successful organization of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The Provincial Party Secretary believes that veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-uprising cadres, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, people with revolutionary contributions and exemplary policy families in Lang Son province with enthusiasm and responsibility will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, always be exemplary leaders, participate and actively respond to local activities and movements; at the same time, continue to care for and educate the tradition, patriotism and revolutionary ethics for today's young generation.
