Speaking at the program, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien said that this year marks the third time the Gala has been held. This is an activity within the framework of the Project "Honoring Vietnamese Language Day in the Overseas Vietnamese Community in the 2023-2030 period" approved by the Prime Minister in 2022.

The Dear Vietnamese Gala has brought overseas Vietnamese all over the world a special art program, honoring the beauty of the Vietnamese language, and at the same time, expressing gratitude to organizations and individuals who have contributed to spreading the love of the Vietnamese language more and more widely, becoming an event that people look forward to.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, with a deep love for their mother tongue, national pride and a desire to stay connected to their roots, our overseas Vietnamese have made constant efforts so that each generation of Vietnamese people around the world feels close to their homeland's culture and roots. The presence of 80 teachers and volunteers participating in the Vietnamese Language Teaching Training Course for Overseas Vietnamese Teachers this year is a vivid demonstration of the unceasing spread of the Vietnamese language.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien hopes that overseas Vietnamese will always keep in their hearts a sacred love for their country, preserve and cherish the Vietnamese language as if preserving the source of their own souls, so that the river of Vietnamese will forever flow through generations of Vietnamese people around the world, nurturing souls, connecting hearts and spreading love together.

Principal of Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School Le Thuong said she was very moved to return to Vietnam to attend the program on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day. According to Ms. Le Thuong, this award is not only her personal achievement, but also the effort of the entire Vietnamese community in Japan.

On this occasion, Ms. Le Thuong also expressed her joy at seeing the clear changes in her homeland, from urban infrastructure to science, technology and education . Vietnam has not only risen after the war but also affirmed its position in the region as well as in the international arena.

“This trip of mine has many emotions, both proud of being a Vietnamese in the era of national development, and moved by the heroic history of the nation. I hope to spread the love for the homeland and mother tongue to the second and third generations of Vietnamese people in Japan. As one of the overseas Vietnamese participating in the parade and march to celebrate National Day on September 2, in the past few days, we have practiced together and clearly seen the feelings of Vietnamese people far away from the Fatherland. No matter where we are, we always turn to our homeland and are ready to accompany the country on the path of development.”
