First time organizing Vietnam - Chinese Taipei chess tournament

Attending the tournament were Mr. Truong Nai Gioi - Secretary of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, Ms. Tiet Gia Van, President of the Taiwan Chess Federation, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, President of the Vietnam Chess Federation, along with many leaders, referees, athletes, coaches and sponsors.

The tournament is not only a place for young players to showcase their talents but also contributes to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Chinese Taipei. The tournament has 32 excellent young players from Vietnam and Chinese Taipei, aged 9 to 12.

The tournament consists of two rounds: the online round and the live round. In the online round, each side sends 16 players to compete, selecting 8 excellent players to participate in the live round in Hanoi .

The live matches were broadcast on VTC2 channel and the YouTube channel of the Vietnam Chess Federation, attracting a large audience. With exciting, tense and tactical matches, the tournament brought many eye-catching chess games.

In the end, Vietnamese chess player Do Pham Nhat Minh won the championship. The tournament was also an opportunity for cultural exchange and chess development between the two countries. During the tournament, the Vietnam Chess Federation organized exchange activities with Van Phu and Ho Guom Chess Clubs, creating a connection between athletes and leaders of both sides.

On November 23, the delegation of athletes and leaders of the two Federations continued their cultural exchange journey in Thai Nguyen province, visiting Sen Ho tourist area to explore the beauty of local history and culture, concluding a successful and meaningful event.
