The musical "The Enchanted Crossbow", organized by the Victoria SchoolEducation System and sponsored by the Vietnam Youth Theatre, will officially perform at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF 2025) on July 2, 2025. This is the first time in the history of international film festivals that a school musical has been selected to perform within the official framework of the event.

Before coming to DANAFF 2025, "The Enchanted Crossbow" had two successful performances at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater in April 2025, attracting nearly 1,000 audiences including parents, students, artists, and art lovers. The excellent performance of the "actors" of Victoria School along with the investment in stage design, choreography, costumes, and modern music received a "shower" of compliments from the audience. Following that success, Victoria School brought "The Enchanted Crossbow" to the larger stage of the Da Nang Asian Film Festival - which brings together hundreds of works and names from the world's leading cinema industries.

The fact that a Vietnamese school art work was invited to perform officially within the framework of an international event is a special milestone, opening up opportunities to elevate school musicals, affirming the diversity of Vietnamese art education, not only in the classroom, through films, but also through musical theater.
"The Enchanted Crossbow" is elaborately staged from the setting, stage props to character costumes.
"The Enchanted Crossbow" is a large-scale school art project that Victoria School has been nurturing and implementing for many months. The play does not recreate history in a classical narrative style but exploits the story in modern theatrical language, combining music, light, choreography and emotions to bring the audience closer to Vietnamese folk cultural values.
Taking on the role of artistic director and professional sponsor are experienced artists, directors, and choreographers from the Vietnam Youth Theater such as Meritorious Artist Le Anh Tuyet, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Si Tien, Choreographer Nguyen Vu Khanh, Singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan... At DANAFF 2025, the musical "The Enchanted Crossbow" will be invested more in terms of technique and performance skills. The professional sound and lighting team will create a complete stage in both content and form, suitable for the framework of an international event.
