Strengthening the personnel of the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee

(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has just signed Decision No. 1482/QD-TTg dated July 4, 2025 on strengthening the personnel of the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee in the Intergovernmental Committee on bilateral cooperation between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (abbreviated as the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee).

View of the mid-term conference to evaluate the implementation of the Vietnam-Laos cooperation plan agreement in 2024 and review and promote the bilateral cooperation agreement for the period 2021-2025

Accordingly, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang is Chairman of the Committee.

The Vice Chairman of the Committee is Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong.

Committee Secretary: Department/Office level of the Ministry of Finance.

Committee Members: Deputy Ministers or Department level of Ministries, agencies: Government Office , Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Public Security, Education and Training, Industry and Trade, Construction, Agriculture and Environment; other members are decided by the Committee Chairman based on the specific content of each Session of the Intergovernmental Committee.

The Ministry of Finance is the agency chairing the Committee.

Committee members work part-time, are personally responsible for their assigned areas of work and comply with the provisions of Decision No. 30/2016/QD-TTg dated July 28, 2016 of the Prime Minister on the establishment, organization and operation of the Vietnam Sub-Committee in the Intergovernmental Committees with foreign countries.
