Closing the emotional DIFF 2025 qualifying round

The ultimate showdown

On the night of June 28, it rained at times, but two fireworks teams from Korea and Italy took turns performing world-class light works, pushing the audience's emotions to a climax with artistic surprises on the Han River.

With a performance inspired by the Dragon symbol and the modern city of Da Nang , the rookie Faseecom from Korea told a story with light, full of cinema called "Flying Dragon Dance". The most impressive highlight was when the Korean team shot fireworks to rap music, "blowing up" the sky with Home Sweet Home by famous star G-Dragon. The yellow and blue fireworks exploded with a fast, intense rhythm, making the whole audience excited. The modern, dynamic spirit of Da Nang was expressed by the fireworks through the artistic language of light. The performance ended magnificently with the song Undefeated as a strong declaration of Da Nang's constant aspiration to rise in the new era. The dense fireworks bursting into the sky seemed to paint the image of a soaring dragon, embracing the audience in a perfect ending.

With “Dragon Dance”, the Faseecom team not only brought a performance rich in technique but also imbued with cultural identity and a unique artistic language, like a brilliant Hallyu wave in the sky of the Han River.
Meanwhile, from powerful rock to melodious opera melodies, Martarello Group SRL, a famous fireworks team from Italy, led the audience on a mesmerizing visual journey in the performance “Light Concert - Opening the Future”. The performance “exploded” with a series of high-altitude red fireworks, blooming fiercely to the rhythm of the intense rock and cinematic music of Blood Sport, Aphelion... creating the feeling that the heart of the city was beating strongly in excitement. The sharp lights created an attractive visual effect that made the audience feel like they were watching an action movie. When the cheerful jazz melody started, the performance changed its tone unexpectedly with clusters of colored fireworks soaring up and falling down like a waterfall of light. The delicate combination with Vietnamese songs such as Chuyen cu bo qua, Bong bong bang bang brought a familiar feeling that made many audiences excited when the fireworks “danced” with the music .

When “Time to say Goodbye”, the immortal opera love song by Andrea Bocelli, sounded, hundreds of fireworks exploded simultaneously, closing the performance with a spectacular “light rain” covering the entire stage. Once again, the Italian team affirmed their class, at the same time sending a message about a Da Nang that is growing strongly, ready to enter a new era with light, technology and creativity.

Audience exploded with emotion

From 7pm, crowds of people from all over Da Nang poured into the DIFF 2025 stands. More than 10,000 seats were quickly filled, from domestic and international tourists to locals, especially with the presence of 6 football legends from Manchester United: Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Michael Owen, Dwight Yorke, Wes Brown and Teddy Sheringham. According to Mr. Huu Nhan (a Da Nang resident), the Italian team always has an eye-catching, technical performance every year and this year is no exception. However, DIFF 2025 has too many impressive teams, from Z121 of the Ministry of National Defense to Portugal, China... Mr. Nhan said that his family had bought tickets in advance and was eagerly waiting for the final.

For KOL Trung Bui, he likes the performance of the Korean team more, not only the vibrant and attractive sound but also the high-altitude fireworks are very impressive, unique and interesting. “The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is one of the city's unique and attractive features. Therefore, every time I experience an atmosphere like this here, I want to spread that to everyone around me, so that more and more tourists will know about Da Nang,” said KOL Trung Bui.

Many tourists said they would return to the fireworks festival and return to Da Nang. Mr. Martim (a tourist from New Zealand) shared that being able to immerse himself in the atmosphere of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 was a lucky thing during his trip to Da Nang this time. “I was impressed not only because the city has the most beautiful beach on the planet but also because of the festive atmosphere here. I felt the joy, friendliness, and happiness of everyone standing together in a common space of fireworks and music, without cultural or ethnic boundaries, towards the aspiration for development and global connection,” said Mr. Martim. Ms. Thu Trang (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) excitedly shared: “Watching the fireworks feels like going to a concert, the music on the stage is extremely “pleasing to the ears”. I will definitely come back to the Da Nang fireworks festival in the coming years.”

Musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, a member of the DIFF 2025 Jury, commented that both the Korean and Italian teams had performances that were very true to the spirit and theme of "Technology leads the way". The Korean rookie, although participating in DIFF 2025 for the first time, arranged and divided into 5 chapters in a very scientific and modern way. They have a unique way of storytelling, expressing both the spirit of Korea and the beauty of Vietnam and Da Nang, bringing sympathy and strong impressions to the audience. The Italian team left a very impressive performance, especially the sound. They chose very attractive music for the audience, the music blending with the brilliant fireworks.

Vietnam and China in the final

On the afternoon of June 29, the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 announced that the two fireworks teams Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yanfeng (China) won the right to compete in the final night of DIFF 2025. The decision was made based on the scoring criteria for each team's performance, based on the uniqueness, design ideas and theme of the performance; creativity, diversity and richness of effects and color intensity; choice of music, synchronization between music and performance; ending and quality of the performance; emotions and evaluation of the judges.

The performances of the two teams Z121 Vina Pyrotech and Jiangxi Yanfeng were considered two breakthrough performances, harmoniously combining high technology and distinct cultural identity, while expressing the spirit of the general theme of DIFF 2025 “Da Nang - New Era”. The two teams received absolute scores from the jury consisting of representatives of artists, art experts and the consulting unit, Global 2000 Company.

The Organizing Committee will draw lots for the performance order in the final night. Accordingly, Jiangxi Yanfeng will be the first performing team and Z121 Vina Pyrotech will be the second. The DIFF 2025 award system will be announced right in the final night, including: DIFF 2025 Champion: 20,000 USD, trophy and certificate; DIFF 2025 Runner-up: 10,000 USD, trophy and certificate; Most Favorite Team Award (voted by the audience): 5,000 USD and certificate; Creative Award: 5,000 USD and certificate; Prospective Award: 5,000 USD and certificate.
