During the working trip, the delegation will carry out the following activities: Visit, encourage, and give gifts to people, officers, and soldiers who are working, living, and performing duties at sea, on Tho Chu Island; pay tribute to and commemorate heroic martyrs and compatriots who died in the sea and on the southwestern continental shelf of the Fatherland; patrol, inspect, control, propagate, and mobilize people and fishermen to comply with the law when working at sea, especially comply with regulations on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing...

Major General Nguyen Van Dung inspected the preparations of Ship CSB 2002, Squadron 401.

Speaking before the trip, Major General Nguyen Van Dung emphasized: “Through this activity, we hope to help local Party committees and authorities directly perceive the entire sea and island areas that the localities are assigned to manage. From there, we will have a firm grasp of the political security situation, social order and safety, and the potential for marine economic development in the Southwestern sea and islands, in order to have appropriate policies and solutions, advising the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense in the work of protecting sovereignty, ensuring security, order, and safety at sea, developing a sustainable marine economy, and especially combating IUU violations most effectively, to contribute to the early removal of the European Commission (EC) yellow card for the Vietnamese fisheries industry”.

Ship CSB 2002 left the port to take the working group to carry out the mission.
