Hoa Trung Lake is about 20km from the center of Da Nang city and nearly 7km from DT602 road (towards Ba Na). It is one of the favorite destinations for locals and travel enthusiasts thanks to its cool green landscape, suitable as a place to "heal" and "change the wind" on weekends.

Hoa Trung is an artificial lake, providing domestic water and irrigation for residents of Hoa Lien and Hoa Ninh communes of Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city.

Each season, this place has its own beauty. In particular, the dry season (from September to October) every year is considered the ideal time to explore this lake.

At that time, the weather was cool, with few clouds, the lake surface was clear and calm. Not to mention the receding water revealed the sand dunes like small islands undulating on the lake, creating a beautiful poetic scene, likened to a "miniature Ha Long Bay".

Mr. Pham Quang Tuan (blogger Tuan Cuong Chan) had the opportunity to visit Hoa Trung Lake in early September and said that this destination is currently in the dry season. Around the lake and under the lake, many places have lush green grass, suitable for tourists to check-in.

“Previously, after the dam released water, the lake surface became a wide valley with lush green grass, so many tourists came here to camp overnight and participate in some activities to immerse themselves in nature. However, now this area no longer allows visitors to camp, people can only walk around the lake and have fun during the day,” said Mr. Tuan.

According to a blogger currently living in Da Nang, tourists should visit Hoa Trung Lake in the early morning or late afternoon. At this time, the weather is cool, the sunlight is gentle, convenient for tourists to take pictures or admire the romantic sunrise and sunset.

The road to Hoa Trung Lake is quite convenient, but deserted and far away, so visitors should remember to fill up their gas tank before the trip, and bring snacks and drinks because there are no shops or tourism services here.

“When coming here, visitors need to observe and follow the regulations on signs and instructions around the lake to ensure safety. After playing and eating, remember to clean up your trash,” added Mr. Tuan.

Blogger 9X also suggested that on the way to Hoa Trung Lake, visitors can combine a visit to Nam O fishing village (also in Lien Chieu district) to experience local cuisine, enjoy some delicious dishes at affordable prices such as herring salad, squid hotpot, etc.
