Painter Ha Nguyen To is from Thai Nguyen, and has spent many years living and growing up in Ba Be - Bac Kan . For him, this place is not only a place to return to, but also a part of his soul as an artist.

He devoted all his love to creating art about the land and people of Bac Kan, his beloved second homeland. After many years of nurturing, the solo exhibition “Land and People of Ba Be” was launched, as a “confession” to the beautiful land and also a gift that he dedicated to art lovers, those who have accompanied each work named Ha Nguyen To.
We arrived at the exhibition early, at this time artist Ha Nguyen To was carefully walking around, quietly admiring each neatly displayed painting.

He emotionally confided: Ba Be Lake with its beautiful villages and open-hearted people has long been a profound source of inspiration in my creative journey. The early mornings with mist gently covering the lake, the quiet sunsets on the stilt houses, the sound of the loom echoing from the kitchen corner, or the gentle smiles of the women at the waterfront... all are deeply imprinted in me and are conveyed into shapes, lines, and colors in my paintings. This exhibition, for me, is not only an opportunity to introduce my work, but also a word of gratitude. Gratitude to Ba Be nature, where the lake can speak, the forest trees can tell stories. Gratitude to the people of Pac Ngoi, who preserve, protect and quietly nurture the beauty of their ethnic culture through each Then song, Tinh lute melody, and each indigo scarf dyed with forest leaves...

In the warm atmosphere of HaDa homestay in Pac Ngoi village, Nam Mau commune (Ba Be), we were absorbed in capturing every sparkling, magical moment of the lake's nature. An early morning, a lake shimmering in the sun, a corner of the stilt house yard... all bring a peaceful, poetic space. The paintings of artist Ha Nguyen To bring a beauty that is difficult to describe in words but makes viewers yearn to step in and experience it for themselves.

Present at the exhibition early, artist Gia Bay, from Thai Nguyen shared: Attending the exhibition, I was really surprised and impressed by the love of painting of artist Ha Nguyen To. Ba Be Lake is a destination that tourists only come to visit, now there is an art gallery, something that seems impossible, has become so lively and emotional. Artist Ha Nguyen To is passionate about his profession, about painting, his personality is also expressed through his strokes, simple, gentle and always has new perspectives.
Along with nature, Ba Be people through the paintings of artist Ha Nguyen To also become lively and bring interesting stories. His paintings tell viewers about the Red Dao girl proudly wearing traditional costumes, about innocent children in brown shirts and naughty barefoot, about the gentle Tay girl playing the Tinh, about the Mong couple expressing their love through dance and the sound of the Khen... Looking at his paintings, one loves, appreciates and is proud of their homeland even more. That is also what Ms. Mung Thi Men shared.
Not only bringing paintings to the public, Ha Nguyen To also brought his heart - when auctioning the painting "Dugout Boat on Ba Be Lake" and donating all the money to the people of Dong Phuc and Yen Duong communes of Ba Be district who suffered damage due to flash floods.

It can be seen that the colors he paints are not only art, but also a way to preserve the beauty of nature, culture, and people of the lake area, and at the same time, it is also the passionate love he has for the place that nurtured his artistic soul...
According to Mr. Duong Van Phong, Chairman of Bac Kan Literature and Arts Association, the exhibition “Ba Be Land and People” brings a new perspective on Ba Be Lake to tourists and local people. From there, it contributes to promoting tourism, nature and people here.
The exhibition with nearly 50 works of art will be displayed at Hana Homestay in Pac Ngoi village, Nam Mau commune, Ba Be district from June 6 to 16. We invite art lovers from near and far to visit and enjoy.../.
