The big reason Apple is returning to a vertical dual-camera design is to enable spatial video recording and make it easier for Vision Pro users. Currently, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus lenses are diagonal, so they do not support spatial video.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Tianfeng International also gave the latest forecast for the iPhone 16 series when he said that this year's iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will come in 5 colors, including black, green, pink, blue and white.
Previous reports have suggested that the iPhone 16 series is expected to feature a dedicated shutter button that is pressure-sensitive and can zoom in or out. The buttons may also change functionality based on finger pressure, such as a light press to focus and a long press to take a photo.
