Nut Pham homestay of Mr. Hvinh Nut and Ms. Dinh Thi Pham is located at the end of Dak Asel village with a neatly decorated space imbued with tradition. Mr. Nut said: He is a teacher at Kon Ha Nung Secondary and High School, taking advantage of his free time, he joined the Dak Asel village tourism service group from 2018 until now.
Along with taking tours to take tourists to explore and experience Waterfall 50, organizing trekking through forests and streams, in 2021, Mr. Nut decided to switch to community tourism, building a homestay to meet the needs of tourists to rest, have fun, learn about customs and traditional culture.
To reduce the cost of building a homestay close to nature, Mr. Nut took advantage of old wood, went into the forest to cut bamboo, cut grass to make a lovely stilt house. Around the house, he decorated wind chimes, dried gourds, baskets, bundles of rice, bo bo flowers, and jars of rice wine typical of the local people. In front of the house, he erected a pole and left a large yard - a place to organize campfires and perform gongs to serve tourists.

Mr. Nut also used old pieces of wood to make name boards, writing the name of the waterfall, writing greetings in English, then attaching them to wooden pillars to create a creative and lively highlight for the space. He combined his and his wife's names to name the homestay, Nut Pham homestay.
In addition to arranging 2 bedrooms in the stilt house, Mr. Nut renovated and expanded the solid house into 2 single rooms and 1 fully equipped dormitory. "Based on the comments and feedback from visitors, I adjusted and added some details to my homestay to make it a bit modern but still retain its traditional features," said Mr. Nut.
As a local, knowledgeable about the culture and familiar with the terrain, Mr. Nut not only helps tourists have interesting experiences when picking wild vegetables, collecting medicinal herbs, catching stream fish, rock snails, exploring the majestic nature of Kbang mountains and forests, but also successfully organizes gong performances, introducing the unique culinary culture of the Bahnar people to tourists.

Mr. Vu Duc Tri, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: He and 5 friends traveled by motorbike to Kbang. Initially, the group planned to experience the 50 waterfall, then stay 1 night at Mr. Nut's homestay. Before returning, Mr. Nut led the group to visit the communal house, the rice warehouse, introduced the way the locals preserve agricultural products and informed them that in 2 days the village would hold a reenactment of the victory celebration. This is an important ceremony of the village.
“Mr. Nut gave us an overview of the worship rituals, which made us curious and we decided to stay. During the day, we visited the village, learned about the people’s lives, farming and livestock production. At night, we watched gong performances and enjoyed rustic dishes such as bamboo rice, grilled chicken, grilled fish, stir-fried cassava leaves with bitter eggplant, stir-fried fern with garlic, boiled bamboo shoots with sesame salt, typical of the Central Highlands. If I have the chance, I will return to Nut Pham homestay,” said Mr. Tri.
With dedicated and professional service, Nut Pham homestay leaves a good impression on visitors. Every year, Mr. Nut receives hundreds of tours, bringing a stable income to his family and creating regular jobs for 3 local workers.

For many years, Mr. Dinh Van Su has been taking tourists to visit and experience Waterfall 50 and performing with the gong team to serve tourists at Nut Pham homestay. He said: “Each time I take guests to the waterfall, I receive 600,000 VND/day. Performing gong performances is 300,000 VND/night. I also get extra tips from guests because I work thoughtfully and enthusiastically. Adding up all my income, I earn 4-5 million VND/month. In addition, on days when there are no guests, I take care of the coffee garden and raise chickens to sell for extra income.”
Mr. Dinh Van Quy - Party Cell Secretary and Head of Dak Asel Village (Son Lang Commune) commented: “For many years, Mr. Nut has managed and operated Nut Pham homestay very well, attracting a stable number of guests and creating jobs for the people. Mr. Nut also shares his experience and methods of doing community tourism with the people. Now the village has 3 households participating in providing accommodation and tourist pick-up services. Households doing tourism contribute to solving employment and consuming clean agricultural products and food for the people. At the same time, promoting and promoting the good traditional culture of the Bahnar people to tourists from all over the world”.
