In the context of Vietnam's continuous efforts to build a strong digital economy , connecting and leveraging the power of advanced technologies is a key and mandatory factor.
On June 19, member companies of SSI Securities Corporation (including SSI-SSIAM Fund Management Company, SSI Digital Ventures investment platform managed by SSIAM and SSI Digital Technology Company-SSID) signed a cooperation agreement with Tether Company - stablecoin (cryptocurrency) issuer, U2U Network - Vietnam's Layer-1 blockchain project and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Accordingly, for the first time in Vietnam, there is comprehensive cooperation between domestic financial and blockchain technology institutions and a global cloud computing service provider to create a flexible, secure, scalable digital infrastructure to serve the sustainable development of the whole society.
Specifically, SSIAM and SSID cooperate with Tether to focus on promoting digital asset infrastructure development and sharing technological expertise in Vietnam.
Representing Tether, Ms. Quynh Le, Director of Development for Asia Pacific, said that this is a turning point. Blockchain technology has just been officially included in the list of National Strategic Technologies under Decision No. 1131. Along with that, the Law on Digital Technology Industry has just been passed, recognizing digital assets and artificial intelligence (AI) as part of the country's long-term development orientation. This is an important foundation to promote innovation and creativity.
In addition, SSI Digital Ventures accompanies U2U Network with a commitment to support the development of Layer-1 blockchain infrastructure in Vietnam. The focus of this cooperation is on practical applications in the fields of DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) and decentralized computing. These are new but potential fields, promising to solve many practical problems in infrastructure management and operation.
In addition, SSID and AWS together with U2U Network will also cooperate to build hybrid infrastructure. Specifically, the three parties will jointly research and build hybrid infrastructure models. This model is an optimal combination of the power and flexibility of cloud computing services provided by AWS and the security and transparency of the decentralized network developed by U2U Network. The goal is to effectively serve applications in the fields of finance, data management and e-government in the near future./.
