• More than 77,700 students in grades 1, 9 and 12 in Ca Mau eagerly return to school

From early morning, at Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School (Tan Thanh Ward), the school yard was filled with the laughter of students after the summer break. Teachers organized many activities to welcome students, creating a joyful and cohesive atmosphere, arousing the spirit of competition to teach well - study well right from the first days of the school year.

Pham Anh Thu, an 8H student at Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School, said: “My hometown is Soc Trang , and I followed my parents to Ca Mau for work. On the first day of school at the new school, I was a bit nervous and worried. This school year, I set a goal of achieving the title of excellent student and being admitted to the school's gifted class.”

The excited atmosphere also spread at Quang Trung Primary School (Tan Thanh Ward), where students of grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 returned to school, joining the joy of the first graders entering school earlier. This school year, the school has about 800 students in 18 classes.

Mr. Ly Ngoc Hien, Vice Principal of Quang Trung Primary School said: “The school has carefully prepared facilities , teaching staff and teaching conditions. We hope to create a friendly and safe learning environment so that students can confidently and excitedly enter the new school year.”

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, in the 2025-2026 school year, the province will have more than 387,000 students, with over 12,100 classrooms. The school system includes 765 schools, including 216 kindergartens, 313 primary schools, 174 secondary schools and 53 public and non-public high schools.

Along with the preparation of facilities, this school year also marks many important policies: implementing the Law on Teachers, exempting tuition fees for preschool and primary school students, supporting learning costs for disadvantaged students, and reducing health insurance premiums for students. These excellent policies not only reduce the burden on parents, but also motivate students and teachers, and inspire a sense of excitement throughout society.

The opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year will be held simultaneously on the morning of September 5. Schools in the province will connect online to the National Convention Center - where the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) will take place. The Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau has issued a document directing educational institutions to organize a solemn, meaningful, economical opening ceremony, spreading the spirit of innovation throughout the sector.

The 2025-2026 school year opens in the context of the education sector's determination to innovate, accompanying many practical policies from the State. This is a solid foundation for teachers and students of Ca Mau to be more confident, make efforts to overcome difficulties, strive to achieve many achievements, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education, meeting the development requirements of the province in the new period.
