The event attracted many high-ranking officials and honored guests.

Ms. Celina Chin, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, emphasized the festival’s mission of connecting the community through music: “Since 2003, we have always aimed to promote cultural harmony and community cohesion through drumming. This year’s festival continues to spread this spirit to be worthy of our mission of making Hong Kong an international cultural melting pot.”

Diverse activities, rich experiences

The festival started at noon with a series of cultural and culinary activities, attracting the participation of many consulates such as Japan, Vietnam, India, Hungary, and Egypt. Visitors not only enjoyed diverse international cuisine but also experienced the unique culture of each country.

A special highlight is the giant 3.47-meter-tall Peace Drum, where everyone joins in the rhythm. Lion dance teams, intangible cultural heritage drum groups from Shaanxi and Lanzhou, and local organizations stir up the festive atmosphere with special performances right in the park.

Affirming Hong Kong's role as a cultural center

The “One Beat, One World” event series is not limited to the Art Park but also travels through 18 districts across the city, with drumming workshops for children, seniors, ethnic minorities and disadvantaged youth.
