(PLVN) - It is expected that more than 200 USD billionaires from Europe and Asia will come to Ha Long to attend the Art for Climate Festival (Art for Climate Halong Bay) in January 2025. Many of them will come to Ha Long by super yacht.

The “Art for Climate - Ha Long Bay 2025” festival is considered an international event, scheduled to take place from January 13 to January 19, 2025.

The event was supposed to be held in a Middle Eastern country, but Arsuprema - the French organizer of "Art for Climate" - chose Ha Long Bay.

Choosing Ha Long Bay as the venue for the festival not only helps to honor the values of art, but also raises awareness of heritage conservation, joining hands to respond to climate change and protect the environment.

According to the Organizing Committee, about 80,000 people are expected to attend the event, including policy makers, local managers, artists, environmental activists, investors, students and many members of the community.

Notably, there will be more than 200 European billionaires - who have attended previous “Art for Climate” events; not to mention the expected presence of Asian billionaires. These billionaires have never been to Vietnam.

At the Festival launch ceremony held on September 16 at the French Embassy in Vietnam, Mr. Olivier Brochet, French Ambassador to Vietnam, said the event is a bridge between art and human responsibility towards the environment, thereby raising awareness about protecting the planet.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO Ha Kim Ngoc said that this festival is an important initiative to promote local solutions to global challenges and is a key program of Vietnam.

Vietnam pledges to work closely with UNESCO and relevant parties to jointly promote this initiative in the upcoming program.

Art for Climate Halong Bay is organized by Arsuprema, a high-value art business company based in France and Spain.
