According to the joint statement, the leaders of the countries gave an overall assessment of the world situation as well as the group's long-term goals, clearly defined the criteria and regulations related to the list of partner countries, and welcomed the great interest from countries in the Southern Hemisphere in BRICS.

The leaders also pledged to “continue to promote the development of BRICS institutions” and reach consensus on facilitating trade between member countries.

The Declaration affirmed the role of standardization tools in facilitating trade and agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of taxation to build a more advanced, stable and effective international tax system. They also stressed the importance of data and information in effective decision-making.

BRICS calls for “more active and meaningful participation of emerging economies , developing and least developed countries, especially from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean in global decision-making processes.

The joint statement also mentioned that the leaders emphasized the need to reform the international financial architecture to deal with global challenges, ensuring more comprehensiveness and fairness for member countries.

The document welcomes the initiative to establish a grain exchange within the BRICS framework, with plans to expand to other agricultural sectors in the future, and highlights the benefits of using fast and low-cost cross-border payment instruments, encouraging the use of local currencies in transactions between BRICS countries and trading partners.

Regarding the conflict in the Middle East, the joint statement expressed particular concern about the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories, especially the increase in violence in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The leaders called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as urged Israel to end its military campaign in southern Lebanon.

Regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the leaders affirmed the importance of states consistently adhering to the principles of the United Nations Charter. The statement noted the proposals for mediation aimed at achieving a peaceful solution through dialogue and diplomacy.

On future pandemic prevention, the leaders supported the initiatives of the BRICS Vaccine Research and Development Centre, which aims to develop a BRICS Integrated Early Warning System to prevent infectious disease risks.

The joint statement also mentioned the fight against climate change, in which the leaders of BRICS countries pledged to strengthen cooperation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but pointed out that climate measures unilaterally imposed by some countries on others could be detrimental to member countries.

According to the announcement of Russian President Vladimir Putin, BRICS intends to send the above document to the United Nations as a common document of the bloc. He also emphasized that all BRICS partners are committed to continuing to build a world system that is "more democratic, inclusive and multipolar".
