Artist Georg Esco shared that the idea of painting the picture came from his deep admiration for President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions in promoting the working class and oppressed peoples in the world to fight for national liberation. In the process of painting his portrait, the artist studied many historical documents and documentary photos of Uncle Ho to be able to depict the most prominent features on his face.
The portrait is currently on display at the Etienne de Causans gallery, in the heart of the 6th arrondissement of Paris.
Georg Esco is a Romanian-born French abstract expressionist painter, highly regarded by experts for his talent and unique creative style. Esco's works, presented in solo and group exhibitions, have attracted the attention of the public and art critics in France as well as internationally.
