Support businesses to improve digital capacity

VHO - Long An province currently has 447 digital technology enterprises with more than 4,730 employees. Of these, 64 are hardware and electronics manufacturing enterprises; 13 are software enterprises; 115 are digital content enterprises; 23 are information technology service providers; 219 are trading and distributing information technology products and services and 13 are telecommunications enterprises.

Digital transformation in the agricultural sector is also of interest to the province and is being implemented.

Through the application of digital technology (blockchain, QR code) in tracing the origin of agricultural products, Long An supports agricultural production households, introducing and promoting 168 OCOP products of the province on the new e-commerce platform of the Post Office (https://buudien.vn); supporting 120 establishments, cooperatives, and enterprises to post information on the Supply and Demand Connection Trading Platform of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (https://htx.cooplink.com.vn) so that consumers know about safe products and make consumption choices; supporting farmers to apply technology in cultivation, animal husbandry, etc.

Regarding e-commerce activities, the province has 23 enterprises and cooperatives registered to participate, confirming codes for 47 typical product traceability software products; 76 booths with 312 products displayed on the Long An province e-commerce platform (https://longantrade.com).

In addition, Long An currently has 100% of enterprises using electronic invoices, associated with the popularization of digital signatures in transactions with tax authorities; thereby contributing to supporting enterprises to improve their digitalization capacity, associated with the popularization of the use of digital signatures in electronic transactions with tax authorities. The locality has deployed electronic invoice solutions generated from cash registers at 100% of retail gasoline stores and 95% of business establishments with business lines subject to the deployment of electronic invoices generated from cash registers to ensure against tax and budget losses.

The province maintains the implementation of the eTax Mobile electronic tax payment application for nearly 25,000 accounts of individuals and business households to pay taxes; deploys a digital map of business households on the eTax Mobile application.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Long An, said that by 2030, the province strives to have the rate of local small and medium enterprises applying digital technology reach over 60%; the rate of make in Vietnam in total revenue of Vietnam's digital industry reach 50%; have over 5 digital technology enterprises on par with provinces in the region, area...

To achieve the above goal, Long An is developing a project to promote digital transformation in the area. In particular, the province focuses on developing communication products to introduce and promote to people and businesses to grasp digital policies and outstanding digital transformation results of the province; popularize and guide people and businesses to participate in using digital platforms and digital services built by the province to serve the needs of people and businesses; develop policies to promote the application of digital technology, develop digital social infrastructure, attract high-quality human resources, support businesses in digital transformation and promote the role of the community in implementing digital transformation at the grassroots level.

In addition, Long An continues to review and advise on the issuance of regulations on exemptions and reductions of fees and charges when performing online public services; review and amend internal procedures for handling administrative procedures in the direction of prioritizing the reduction of processing time for online applications. The locality advises on cooperation mechanisms with businesses providing popular online payment services in the province to implement incentive programs for online payment of fees and charges for performing administrative procedures.
