Thai Nguyen Provincial Business Association: Solidarity, innovation, development

On July 13, in Ba Be commune, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Business Association held a conference to announce the merger decision, deploy the action plan for the transition period and prepare for the new term Congress. Attending were representatives of the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), departments and branches of the province.

From July 1, 2025, Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan provinces will be merged into the new Thai Nguyen province; the Business Associations of the two provinces will also merge, bringing the total number of members to 217. The main areas of operation include industry, construction, trade, services, tourism, mining and agriculture.

In the first 6 months of this year, overcoming difficulties, the business community in the 2 provinces (not yet merged) maintained stable growth, while implementing good policies and regimes for workers. In Thai Nguyen , industrial production value increased by 7%, total retail sales and services increased by nearly 22%, exports reached 10.2 billion USD, PCI index reached 68.13 points. Bac Kan achieved GRDP growth of 8.2%, industrial production value increased by 18%, total retail sales increased by 25%, budget revenue increased by 29%...

Also in the past 6 months, the Business Association has organized many conferences, seminars, and trade connection activities; mobilized members to participate in social security activities with tens of billions of VND to support the programs "Tet for the poor", "Godmother"...

Speaking at the Conference, the leader of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Business Association emphasized: After the merger, the province will form a stronger economic force, creating conditions for businesses to support each other to develop and contribute more to the locality.

At the Conference, the Provincial Business Association also approved the Project to establish the Association of Women Entrepreneurs, the Association of Women Intellectuals and organized a Workshop to improve the PCI Index. In the coming time, the Association will continue to accompany the province to implement the Central Resolutions, promote the development of the private economy, contribute to GRDP growth, create jobs and sustainable socio-economic development in the province.
